Diet

Diet

What should you really eat to feel good and get the result you want?

Here are some "simple" tips and rules to stick to: It is the total amount of calories you eat and drink in relation to the amount of calories burned that determines whether you lose or gain weight. No periodic fasting or other diet changes that fact. Be consistent. Many people live a healthy Monday to Thursday and then throw in rubbish food all weekend. Of course, not all meals need to be completely healthy. But at least aim for 9 out of 10 meals to be good and for the 10th not to be pizza, ice cream, sweets and chips in the same meal.

You will be more full if you eat protein and fat than if you eat carbohydrates. The body needs protein, fat and carbohydrates to feel good. There are good and bad calories. 400 Kcal sweets (100g) are not as good for the body as fruit, although both consist mainly of carbohydrates. Never think about loosing wheigt fast. Should you change your body to feel better, it is about adjusting for the rest of your life. Not about skipping bread for three months. Plan your food, preferably all week at once so you do not slip into buying fast food because it feels easier.

Do not drink unnecessary calories. Feel free to take a protein shake but avoid juice, drinks and other sugary drinks. Water when in doubt!

Drink water. It is so easy to mix thirst with hunger and if you drink a glass of water or two before a meal, the chances are greater that you do not eat too much.
