Tips - Avoid temptetions

My concrete tips!

Avoid temptations!

So you have now set a goal and decided that you will finally be healthier. But then you fall for the temptation, it's so hard to avoid and all of a sudden you're sitting there with the cake, the chip bowl or the pizza!

What should you do to avoid temptation?

Yes, to begin with, avoid exposing yourself to temptation unnecessarily.

If you have snacks at home, you will eat them, it's that simple! So do not buy them  in the belief that you can handle it as long as they are in a cupboard. Always make sure you have eaten before you go shopping, there is much less risk of something useless ending up in the lunch box if you are not hungry when you shop. Also make a menu before you shop that only contains what you need and put a stop to yourself if you get hungry for something else in the store.

Do not spend time on social media and be tempted. The most common thing that is posted on instagram are pictures of food. To sit and stare at things like that for half a day and then come home and think that you will cook a healthy meal is not very realistic. Of course, if you follow a chef or the like, it's even worse. Do not think that you can get away with craving sweets by looking at sweets. No it just makes it harder. Also, do not look at the baking shows on tv, master chef or any other program that garantees to make you crave something good.

Count calories! If you count calories, you will realize how many calories a small treat contains. Then it is much easier to resist it. There are many good apps that help you with that, I myself use the app Lifesum.

Reduce alcohol. In addition to the fact that alcohol contains a lot of calories in itself, the judgment usually fails after a couple of beers. Do you recognize a large kebab plate and a bag of sweets after the pub?
